  • Wash gently by hand under warm running water.

  • Occasionally apply a light food-safe mineral oil to maintain the wood’s natural luster.

For more than 200 years, the Laguiole knife has been a symbol of French craftsmanship. Since 1920, the Jean Dubost family has carried on this tradition, crafting artisan blades and cutlery inspired by the original peasant tool of southern France. Each blade is stamped, ground, and polished through over 25 manual production stages. Today, the Laguiole tradition extends beyond knives to include flatware and wine waiters, all created with the same artistry and dedication to quality. Trusted in homes and restaurants throughout France, the Dubost family proudly brings this timeless tradition to tables around the world.
